Hey Mom, I hope you are reading this, it’s me Dayan, the boy you named after Princess Diana. It’s my birthday, I’m 26 now and I just want you to know that there is no other person like you on this planet. I can’t thank you enough for the life you gave me and the person you made me. I wouldn’t change a thing about it.
You taught me that the most important thing in life is happinnes, strange for a person experiencing so many heartbreaking moments.
I know you’ve been through a lot with me and my brother, most people can’t really imagine, but we found our way. The kids nobody believed in, even all of the family members thought it was over with us, but YOU! You never gave up on us, and you believed that we are going to be great even if you didn’t say it that much, You gave 250% of yourself to be the best mother in the world. We were far from the best kids, we did not helped you at all, we were young and couldn’t care less.
I remember those days where you were working, coming home, clean, cook, and go back to work on 2-3 jobs just to earn enough so we could have a roof, food and clothes to go to school. We didn’t helped you with nothing, Even when we disrespected you, you never turned your back on us. In your hardest time when you was in the hospital for a month, we weren’t always there for you… If I could go back to my younger self, I would smack the s*** out of me to teach me to respect my own mother.
As I’m writing this I realize even more how much of Superwoman you are. I always thought I didn’t understand what love is but it was right next to me this whole time.
I dedicate this day to you, because you
deserve everything on this planet. I have everything a person could want in life, and I’ve always had it, thanks to God, who sent an angel in the form of a mother.
I’ve never told you these things before, but now you know. I want everyone to see what kind of person you are and set an example.
I’m always going to be the kid with a big mouth and that wide smile you remember me for 😉 I won’t let anyone take that away from me, so don’t you worry.
